Vitiligo, Psoriasis Treatment
We have special tube lights that emit only narrow band UV – B light. This is a part of the solar spectrum. This light stimulates colour producing cells called melanocytes to produce more pigment – melanin.
Vitiligo patients have benefited greatly after this treatment as it keeps them of harmful drugs such as steroids, and it helps the colour fill in faster.
Another use of narrow bank UV-B is the treatment of psoriasis and chronic non healing eczemas. The light reduces the inflammation in the skin that helps clear the disease fast and it can also be used as maintenance treatment to prevent recurrences.
