The 1064 Long Pulse Nd YAG laser can also be used to treat superficial leg veins (telangectasia), fine veins on the face, other blood vessel abnormalities like small localized hemangiomas and port wine stains.
Sittings are done once a month. With each sitting the blood vessels close down and the lesion subsides. 3 to 10 sittings may be required depending on the size and extent of the lesion.
The procedure is painless, safe and it is a good non surgical option for conditions that are very difficult to treat otherwise.
